EagleView® Technologies, Bothell, Wash., and Pictometry® International, Rochester, N.Y., recently merged to create a company that would provide leading technology specializing in high-resolution aerial photography, automated 3D measurement technologies and overall software solutions. The company used Rapid Access™ technology to document recent catastrophic storm events in Oklahoma and Texas, as well as wildfires in Wisconsin.
The company gathers post-event imagery within days of an event for disaster recovery support, and its reporting services provide rapid reporting for structural restoration with exact measurements for claim completion.
"The ability to capture images and provide structural reporting is essential for rapid recovery after a catastrophic event," says Chris Barrow, chief executive officer and president of EagleView Technologies and Pictometry International. "We are committed to flying every major storm event and having images available directly afterward."
In response to the devastating tornados that swept through Oklahoma at the end of May, Cleveland County, Okla., was being flown over and photographed to help the county crews assess property damage. Additional areas of the state also were flown over as part of the Rapid Access program.
