On April 13, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will begin accepting petitions under the H-2B supplemental cap final temporary rule issued by the Department of Homeland Security Dec. 15, 2022. These petitions are for workers requesting employment start dates from May 15, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2023. Using Your Voice to Create Change in Your Community and Career: NWiR at Roofing Day in D.C.

Please join National Women in Roofing for a brunch and educational/mentoring session during Roofing Day in D.C. April 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Succotash Restaurant in downtown Washington, D.C.

Many women in roofing report they are in the busiest season of their lives: caring for children or aging parents, nurturing relationships with friends and family, and balancing work with college or graduate school. At the same time, women want to advance their careers and advocate for the roofing industry and other issues important to them. To address these challenges, NWiR will focus on how women can use their unique perspectives to be active in political advocacy, create change in their communities and positively affect their careers.

Everyone is invited! The last NWiR gathering at Roofing Day in D.C. was in 2019, and we are so excited the event is returning! Register by April 14 if you would like to attend.
