During the winter, construction workers face cold weather, strong winds and slippery surfaces, which can lead to dangerous health risks. As winter approaches, it is important employers know how to keep their workers safe.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration offers resources to help employers and their workers prepare for winter weather. OSHA’s resources include information about hazards workers may face during and after winter storms and how to keep workers safe when they are driving in snow, removing snow from rooftops and working in cold temperatures, among other information.
