Next month, NRCA will hold its 132nd annual convention in Nashville, Tenn., in conjunction with the 2019 International Roofing Expo (IRE). The events, spanning Feb. 9-13, will showcase the best the roofing industry has to offer.
NRCA booth 2523 will highlight several initiatives, most notably NRCA ProCertification,™ NRCA's newly launched national certification effort. Designed to create a competent, sustainable and high-performing roofing industry workforce, NRCA ProCertification will enable experienced roofing workers to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to become certified roof system installers and/or foremen in specific roof system applications and disciplines. At the NRCA booth, you will be able to talk to installers who have earned NRCA ProCertification, as well as learn more about how you can certify your workforce.
NRCA also will have information available about the upcoming Roofing Day in D.C. 2019, which will be held April 3-4. This industrywide event will attract hundreds of roofing professionals from all industry sectors. Participants will head to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers and their staffs about issues important to the roofing industry. Participants' efforts from Roofing Day in D.C. 2018 resulted in legislation favorable to the roofing industry. NRCA's Washington, D.C., staff will be at the NRCA booth to answer questions about the event and explain how crucial it is to have participation from all industry segments, including roof system installers.
In addition, NRCA's booth will have the newest volume of The NRCA Roofing Manual, The NRCA Roofing Manual: Membrane Roof Systems—2019, on display, as well as NRCA technical staff on hand to answer questions.
