2021 is soon approaching (thank goodness!) and that means many businesses are getting quotes for health insurance renewals and reconsidering their current employer-provided health care options. Health care is an important benefit many companies use to attract and retain employees, and it is becoming increasingly expensive.
To help you better recruit and retain employees and realize cost savings, NRCA recently launched the NRCA Health Care Program to serve all members (not only contractors but also manufacturers, distributors, designers, etc.) of all sizes. Since its introduction in September, the program has garnered a great deal of interest, and many members are pleasantly surprised with the competitive pricing and variety of options available, including self-funded programs for larger companies and supplemental benefits to complement existing health insurance programs.
The NRCA Health Care Program is a partnership between NRCA and Vault Health Strategies, Bloomington, Ill., a leader in the health insurance industry. The program offers a broad range of offerings and coverages, including a telehealth option that is becoming popular in the health care arena.
Misty Guinn, director of benefits and wellness at Benefitfocus, a benefits management provider, told CNN telehealth options can be cheaper and easier for employees and more cost-effective for employers, particularly because the COVID-19 pandemic has made people leery about venturing into public spaces where people may be ill.
Choosing what to provide employees can be a complicated and difficult decision, and NRCA encourages you to explore all possible options. With a majority of health insurance programs renewing Jan. 1, now is a good time to evaluate your options under the NRCA/Vault program. NRCA Director of Enterprise Risk Management Rich Trewyn will be happy to help you with this process. You can contact him at (800) 323-9545, ext. 7575, or rtrewyn@nrca.net. In addition, the representatives at Vault Health Strategies can answer specific questions regarding the offerings. To learn more about the NRCA Health Care Program, visit nrcahealth.com.
