New shingle color introduced
IKO has added a new Granite Black color to its line of Dynasty™ shingles with ArmourZone.™ This is the eighth color blend option available for Dynasty shingles.
Dynasty shingles with ArmourZone reportedly feature enlarged nailing areas for easier installation and tear-resistant woven bands to provide greater fastening strength and resist pull-through. Matching hip and ridge cap shingles also are available.

Roof system can be field-formed
Fabral has expanded its Powerseam™ product line to include Powerseam II, a mechanically seamed, structural standing-seam metal panel roof system.
The Powerseam II roof system is said to be a good architectural fit for buildings with educational or athletic functions. The roof system can be fabricated in the factory or formed in the field using mobile roll-forming equipment to create longer panels. The Powerseam II roof system reportedly is available in 0.032-inch-thick aluminum with 22-, 24- or 26-gauge steel and offered in Fabral's full architectural color palette. Stiffening ribs and shadow lines also are available.

Payroll solution generates online reports
LCPtracker has released a cloud-based LCPcertified public works payroll reporting solution that enables companies to submit certified payroll reports (CPRs) to anyone requesting the data.
LCPcertified reportedly allows anyone working on public works projects to easily enter data online to produce clean, accurate reports. The payroll reporting solution is available in three packages. LCPcertified Basic is said to be ideal for smaller companies that need to produce certified payroll reports one state at a time. LCPcertified's validation engine checks for state-specific prevailing wage compliance information.
LCPcertified Plus has the same features as LCPcertified Basic, but it also reportedly allows users to enter their own prevailing wage rates and helps users manage federal and other state wage rate compliance.
LCPcertified Professional is directed toward larger companies, providing a bulk-processing feature capable of quickly producing hundreds of CPRs. LCPcertified Professional also is said to have an automatic distribution feature that allows contractors to email CPRs to requesting agencies directly through the system.

FLEXVOLT™ tools provide longer run times
DEWALT® has introduced its FLEXVOLT Power Tool and Battery System consisting of a longer-lasting battery, cordless power tools and complementary accessories.
The FLEXVOLT System is said to provide power equivalent to corded tools, longer run times than previous cordless tools and compatibility with DEWALT's 20V MAX System tools. Dual pipe system retains snow
S-5! has introduced its DualGard™ snow-retention system designed to safely hold snow and ice in place on a roof system.

Roof drain installs quickly
OMG Roofing Products has introduced its SpeedTite Roof Drain, a "drop-in ready" drain designed for quick installation.
The SpeedTite Roof Drain reportedly features a one-piece seamless body for strength and durability, aluminum strainer dome and clamping ring. The drain's 10-inch drain stem accommodates most existing conditions but can be obtained in longer lengths if necessary for a job site.
During the tool-free installation, the drain stem is inserted into an existing drain leader and the mechanical seal is hand-tightened to create a watertight seal. The installation is said to be considerably faster than reworking a drain. An extra-large flange permits positive attachment of roof flashing membrane, and flanges also are available with TPO or PVC coatings for direct hot-air welding.

Underlayments provide alternative to felt
GCP Applied Technologies Inc. has added Tri-Flex® XT and Tri-Flex 15 to its portfolio of synthetic roof underlayments.
Tri-Flex XT is a mechanically attached synthetic underlayment designed to overcome the shortcomings of traditional No. 30 roofing felt. Tri-Flex XT underlayment is said to feature a slip-resistant coating to provide a safe walking surface for workers.
Tri-Flex 15 underlayment is a synthetic alternative to No. 15 roofing felt. Designed to be lightweight, the underlayment reportedly can be installed quickly. Tri-Flex 15 underlayment has a 60-day exposure limit, allowing workers to accommodate unexpected changes in their construction schedules.
