Pipe system provides flexibility
JMB Industries has introduced the Unistrut Adjustable Pipe Support System, which expands on its original Pipe Prop to provide more flexibility for customized piping needs.
The Pipe Prop system reportedly can be glued together easily and support any possible combination of pipes, including side-by-side groups of pipes and suspended pipes.

Tape measure has digital display
eMeasure Inc. has introduced eTape16,™ a tape measure featuring a digital display screen capable of supplying readings up to 1/16 of an inch.
The eTape16's metal blade is available with U.S., metric, or U.S. and metric markings, and the display screen reportedly can convert any measurement between inches, feet, fractions and decimals. The tape measure also features the ability to toggle between outside measurement, which is the blade length alone, and inside measurement, which adds the 3-inch width of the tape measure case to the readout.
Several buttons on the eTape16 can be used to access additional features, including a "hold" button to retain measurements after the blade has been retracted; long-term memory buttons that can be used to retain measurements after the tape measure shuts off; and a re-zero function that enables the user to measure the distance from a previously measured point without retracting the blade.
The tape measure has a polycarbonate case and rubber bumper to protect the display screen; operates with a CR2032 coin battery for up to 64 hours of use; and automatically turns off after five minutes of nonuse to preserve battery life.

Roof system products are solvent-free
Viridian Systems has developed several new low-odor, solvent-free products for roof systems. The products include polymer-modified bitumen membranes in solvent-free adhesive; single-ply membranes in water-based adhesive; and built-up roofing assembled with solvent-free adhesive.
Each product is designed to protect people inside buildings that have unique environmental concerns, such as schools, nursing homes and hospitals. The products are said to have a low-odor design to reduce disruption of building occupants; have a solvent-free formula to lower the release of volatile organic compounds; and can be cold-applied.

Fall protection for standing-seam metal
Fall Protection Distributors LLC has introduced its Standing Seam Roof Anchor designed to provide a secure point of attachment for workers on standing-seam metal roof systems.
The roof anchor reportedly can be installed on almost any standing-seam metal roof system without penetrating the panels and functions as a temporary or permanent point of attachment. Made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and stainless steel, the roof anchor weighs 4 1/2 pounds and has a low height to help minimize tripping hazards. The roof anchor reportedly has been tested by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the American National Standards Institute to confirm the device can support up to 5,000 pounds of weight in all directions of pull.

Steel cutter reduces cutting force
Malco Products Inc. has introduced its Stone Coated Steel Roofing Cutter, a guillotine-style cutter designed to make safe and precise cuts in steel shingles and shakes and tile roofing.
The cutter reportedly features a long handle to reduce user cutting force, and its shearing action has a wiping effect on each shingle, which is said to seal the cut edge to prevent rusting. The steel blade and die have reversible cutting edges to maximize cutting life and are easily replaceable.
The cutter also features a blade lock-pin to ensure safe transportation and a frame with two leg length options to provide different table heights.

Handheld blower provides strong air output
DEWALT has introduced its 20V MAX* XR Brushless Blower as part of its new line of 20V outdoor power equipment.
The handheld blower features an axial fan design that reportedly maximizes air output and run time at 400 cubic feet per minute and 90 mph. The blower also is lightweight, weighing about 7 pounds, and operates at 61 decibels for reduced noise. A variable trigger and speed lock are said to make the blower a useful tool for job-site cleanup.
