DaVinci Roofscapes® has introduced solid synthetic slate and shake accessory tiles that reportedly increase the versatility of the company's Valoré Slate, Valoré Shake and multiwidth product lines.

The solid synthetic slate and shake accessory tiles are said to be lightweight and flexible and provide a thermal barrier. The solid synthetic slate accessory tiles are 18 inches long and 12 inches wide and available in light gray, medium gray, dark gray, slate gray and slate black. The solid synthetic shake accessory tiles are 22 inches long and 12 inches wide and available in autumn, mountain, Tahoe and weathered gray. Industrial Nanotech Inc. has introduced its Nansulate® Crystal, a clear coating for steep-slope roof systems that is said to provide thermal insulation and resist ultraviolet light, mold and mildew.

Modular vegetative system is available

The Garland Co. Inc.® has added interlocking container modules to its GreenShield® vegetative roof system technology; the modules encapsulate plant materials and underlying growth layers.

The GreenShield module system uses 46-inch square modules that feature pallet channels for fork-lifting and drainage perforations. The system's pallet channels also are said to serve as port ways for drainage and irrigation and provide air flow to plants' root systems. The modules reportedly can incorporate any special lightweight soils, aggregates, filter fabrics and plants developed for existing GreenShield technologies. Expansion joint accommodates movement

EMSEAL has introduced its EMSHIELD DFR2, a single-unit fire-rated expansion joint that reportedly is trafficable and watertight and accommodates extensive movement.

EMSHIELD DFR2 is composed of fire-retardant-impregnated foam. GeoEstimator combines aerial and satellite images and is said to calculate precise measurements of virtually any surface, including ridges, valleys, perimeters and step flashings. The Web-based service reportedly allows users to edit slope values, change slope directions and line types, verify measurements and make adjustments. All reports can be saved, edited and generated directly from the Web site, and users still can opt to use the service's software.
