Jig saw has auto-stop brake

Bosch Power Tools has made available its 18V Barrel-Grip Jig Saw designed to deliver powerful, cordless cutting. The jig saw has extended upfront soft-grip areas and a small barrel-grip circumference for greater tool control. An auto-stop brake features a stroke mechanism that stops immediately after the trigger is moved to the off position for increased user protection. A dust blower and LED light reportedly enhance precision by ensuring cut lines remain visible. The 18V Barrel-Grip Jig Saw has a stroke length of 1 inch, delivering a cutting capability up to 4.7 inches in wood and 0.8 inches in aluminum.

System fits curved perimeter edges

Sheet Metal Supply Ltd. has introduced its MegaLock 2 Radius System for curved perimeter edges. The system can be custom-fabricated and curved to almost any radius, concave or convex. The MegaLock 2 Radius System reportedly is easy to install and is available in half-inch increments from 3- to 10-inch nailer down sizes. The system’s base component is fabricated using 20-gauge G-90 galvanized steel and can be pre-punched to meet project requirements. The system’s face material is available in 28 colors in 24-gauge and 22-gauge G-90 galvanized steel or .032-inch and .040-inch aluminum.

Roof wrap is 100% recyclable

Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc. has made available Shur-Gard Roof Wrap. The tear-resistant roof wrap can be used to temporarily protect a roof structure and building’s interior for up to one year. During installation, the roof wrap’s 12-mil-thick polyethylene film is heated to shrink to the roof structure, securely wrapping it to create a fully functioning roof said to resist water and wind. Designed for use on steep-slope roof systems, Shur-Gard Roof Wrap can be used to cover an entire roof or to protect only damaged areas. If a roof inspection is required after the roof wrap is installed, a contractor can cut an access area in the film and easily reseal the film after the inspection is complete. The roof wrap’s white film is highly reflective and 100% recyclable. Shur-Gard Roof Wrap is available in rolls that are 32 feet wide and 90 feet long. One roll covers 2,880 square feet.

Coping resists wind uplift

ATAS International has added Rapid-Lok SL Coping to its coping product offerings. Rapid-Lok SL Coping is a snap-on system with continuous cleats in the front and back with no exposed fasteners. The coping system’s secure locking features are said to increase its performance in high-wind environments. Rapid-Lok SL Coping includes a 12-foot coping cover available in a variety of materials, gauges and colors; a continuous 22-gauge canted front cleat; guttered internal splices that eliminate the need for caulk or tape at the joints; and all cleat spacing tools and screws required for proper installation.

Goggles channel away water and sweat

Jacket has heat technology system

Milwaukee® Tool has added the M12™ Heated TOUGHSHELL™ Jacket to its line of Heated Gear.® The jacket features an advanced heat technology system designed to keep a user warm while working in cold weather. Made with reengineered TOUGHSHELL Stretch Polyester, the jacket reportedly offers enhanced mobility and flexibility. Powered by an M12 REDLITHIUM™ 3.0 battery, the jacket fully heats up in 2 1/2 minutes, and the inner lining material quickly transfers heat to the user. The jacket’s battery can be placed in a front pocket or a back pocket. The M12 Heated TOUGHSHELL Jacket is available in black, gray, navy blue and red and in sizes small through 3XL.
