Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. has made available Polystick® XFR, a dual-purpose self-adhering waterproofing underlayment designed to provide enhanced fire resistance for combustible decks with metal roof coverings and other high-temperature applications. Made from an SBS polymer-modified bitumen upper compound and a self-adhering lower compound, Polystick XFR features ADESO® dual-compound self-adhering technology for quick application. Fiberglass reinforcement reportedly provides additional stability, and Burn-Shield™ technology provides resistance to the spread of flames. Polystick XFR is Class A fire-rated for combustible decks and is said to be an ideal underlayment for metal, asphalt shingle and tile roof systems. Polystick XFR can be exposed for up to 180 days during installation.

Fascia system has pre-punched holes
OMG® EdgeSystems has added TerminEdge™ LT Fascia to its line of TerminEdge Fascia products. Designed for single-ply applications that don’t require FM-approved edge systems, TerminEdge LT Fascia is a three-piece snap-on fascia system said to be ES-1 performance-tested. The system includes a formed 24-gauge galvanized steel retainer with self-locating, pre-punched slotted holes to reduce installation time. The system also features a decorative snap-on fascia cover and matching 4-inch-wide concealed splice plates. TerminEdge products are supplied in 10-foot lengths and available with face heights from 3 3/4 to 12 inches to accommodate most nailer heights. Fascia covers reportedly are available in more than 100 colors and finishes in 22- and 24-gauge galvanized steel; .040-, .050- or .063-inch-thick aluminum; and 22-gauge stainless steel.

VELUX® has introduced its CABRIO® Balcony Roof Window MK19. Measuring 32 by 101 inches, the roof window is 20% smaller in width than the standard CABRIO Balcony Roof Window. The smaller size reportedly makes the window easier to lift to a roof while the framing and installation requirements remain the same. The CABRIO Balcony Roof Window MK19 features a clear lacquer wooden interior frame and gray aluminum exterior cover and is flush with a roof when the window is closed. GAF has added enhanced Timberline® American Harvest asphalt shingles to its line of residential roofing products. Featuring GAF StainGuard Plus™ and LayerLock™ technologies, the shingles are said to resist blue-green algae discoloration and install quickly and accurately. Timberline American Harvest asphalt shingles also have a large StrikeZone™ Nailing Area said to enhance nailing accuracy. Kee Rigid Anchors can withstand a pull-out force of 5,000 pounds applied in any direction and reportedly meet applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration and American National Standards Institute standards. Galvanized for corrosion resistance and durability, Kee Rigid Anchors feature insulated posts to stop conductivity and provide temperature consistency on buildings. The Kee Rigid Anchor product line has five standard options to meet a variety of building and roof types. The Bolt On style clamps directly onto new or existing structural steel using BeamClamp® steel-to-steel connectors. The Bolt Around style bolts around structures of steel, concrete or wood using connector rods and a backer plate. The Cast in Place style casts directly onto new concrete roof slabs of minimum grade 3,000 pounds per square inch and 7-inch thickness.
