Gloves provide cut protection

Brass Knuckle® has introduced its SmartShell™ BKCR4599 protective gloves with ANSI Level 4 cut resistance. Designed with three layers of material covering the palms and fingers, the gloves provide heavy-duty cut protection.

The glove lining is made of a high-performance polyethylene and spandex composite said to deliver strong cut resistance. Bonded to the lining is gray polyurethane fabric with a nitrile surface to protect against light liquid penetration. Certain areas of the palms are reinforced with padding for impact resistance, and thermoplastic rubber padding on the backs of the hands resists abrasion while maintaining flexibility.

Waterstops are self-adhering

GCP Applied Technologies Inc. has introduced its Adcor® SAS 500S Hydrophilic Waterstops designed to self-adhere to concrete, metal and PVC substrates.

The waterstops are said to be easily installed by peeling the release paper away and pressing the waterstop strip to a clean, dry surface. The waterstops' self-adhering design reportedly reduces the risk of damage during installation as well as the expansion restrictions sometimes caused by fixings that can result in leaks. The waterstops can be used for vertical, horizontal and overhead applications.
