Membrane offers reliability

Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing has released its CCW-525 liquid-applied waterproofing membrane, which can waterproof a variety of concrete substrates and bridge cracks that may develop in a substrate. The moisture-cured and coal-tar-free membrane is said to provide a strong bond to a substrate.

CCW-525 is a liquid-applied elastomeric modified polyurethane membrane that can be used on above- and below-grade vertical and horizontal applications. It is said to provide a flexible, seamless surface and allow applications between the structural slab and wearing course on a variety of concrete surfaces. Said to offer quick and easy application, the membrane typically is applied to a horizontal surface using a notched squeegee and vertical surface using a roller.

Approval Guide on CD-ROM

FM Approvals has made available the 2005 edition of its Approval Guide on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM provides engineering and technical information about products and has more than 45,000 listings of materials, equipment and services that have been approved by FM Approvals.

The Approval Guide on CD-ROM also includes more than 140 approval standards documents that demonstrate and explain the testing criteria products are required to meet to become FM-approved.

Primer offers versatility

EternaBond has released EternaPrime, a primer that can be used for a wide range of commercial and residential roofing applications. Composed of elastomers and resins, the product is infused with a volatile organic compound-exempt solvent and said to be ideal for applications that require strict health and environmental safety specifications.

With EternaPrime, EternaBond tapes can be installed in temperatures ranging from 40 F to -20 F and used as a coalescing/stabilizing agent for hard-to-clean surfaces, such as built-up roof systems. EternaPrime can be sprayed or applied with a roller or paint brush.

Angle grinders cut vibration

Bosch Power Tools and Accessories has introduced its angle grinder line with a new vibration reduction handle system. The system, which incorporates vibration-absorbing rings into the grinder handle and between the main trigger handle, is said to reduce vibration by 60 percent.

The angle grinder line includes six models ranging from 7 inches to 9 inches and 5,000 rotations per minute (rpm) to 8,500 rpm. The products also include a tool-free adjustable guard and metal gear cover.

Metering unit reduces errors

Gusmer Corp. has released the H-20/35 Pro-Tec™ proportioning machine for application of spray polyurethane foam and polyureas, among other plural-component materials. With a screen that has graphic and data interface that provides diagnostic and data reporting in real time, the unit is said to minimize operator error.

The product also features hybrid heaters at 12,000 watts or 18,000 watts; automatic 52-ampere hose heating power transformer with matched control circuitry for temperature maintenance; and an AmpLok™ Hose Heat Control System that matches voltage and amperage to hose length.

The H-20/35 Pro-Tec is digitally controlled and said to have durable construction to last longer during demanding applications.

Demolition tools offer comfort

Stanley has introduced 14 new products for its demolition line. The tools are said to be durable and comfortable to use.

Three FatMax® wrecking bars are a part of the line and are available in 14-, 24- and 36-inch bar sizes. The bars are made from high-carbon steel and have a tri-lobe cross-section design. The wrecking bars have a variety of uses, including nail removal, heavy prying and opening packing cases.

Pry Bars and Nail Pulling Bars also are a new addition. Pry bars feature a thin, flared end and a V-shaped tail, and the nail pulling bars feature a cat's-paw design for digging out embedded and broken nails.

The demolition line also offers a drilling hammer, engineer hammer and blacksmith hammer, all of which feature a forged steel head and fiberglass handle. The drilling hammer is available in 2- or 3-pound versions. The engineer hammer features two hardened faces for extended application and is available in 2 1/2-pound and 4-pound versions. The blacksmith hammer features a hardened machine finish face for extended application and is available in 2 1/2-pound and 4 1/2-pound versions.
