Accessory paint matches shingles

GAF-Elk has introduced its ShingleMatch™ Roof Accessory Paint, which is said to hide roof protrusions such as stacks, vent pipes, exhaust vents and flashings. It can be used to match GAF-Elk shingles or as a complement to other shingle brands.

ShingleMatch Roof Accessory Paint is available in eight colors and reportedly can be used on metal, aluminum, plastic, wood, masonry and concrete. The accessory paint features an exterior acrylic enamel that is said to be durable and resist the elements.

Machine is portable

Membranes are reflective

Polyglass® USA Inc. has introduced its Kool Roof Solutions Package, which includes Polykool,™ Polybianko™ and Polyfresko™ white self-adhering roof membranes. The membranes, which are designed for low-slope roof applications, are said to be reflective and energy-efficient.

Polyglass USA's Kool Roof Solutions Package membranes are manufactured with Polyglass' ADESO® dual-compound technology and feature a self-adhering bottom ply and a top ply made of an APP polymer-modified bitumen compound. The membranes also feature a fiberglass-reinforced polyester mat that is made from recycled content. The membranes are said to enhance roof system performance and durability.

Downspouts can be customized

Chris Industries Inc. has added 4-inch plain round and round corrugated downspouts and elbows to its roll-forming capabilities. The downspouts and elbows are available in copper, Kynar®-coated steel and Kynar-coated aluminum.

The downspouts and elbows are said to be durable and cost-effective and reportedly match metal roof panels and gutters. They can be cut to custom lengths and are available with matching caulk and rivets.

Spacer bar eliminates gaps

J.S. Design has introduced its 24-inch Universal Spacer Bar, which reportedly supports trapezoidal standing-seam roof panel ribs during clip installation and eliminates gaps around metal closures.

Brackets offer variety

TRA-Mage Inc. has introduced its decorative brackets for standing-seam and corrugated metal roof systems. The brackets are available in moose, tree, bear, starburst, maple leaf and mushroom shapes. The brackets reportedly are engineered based on a roof system's type, slope and anticipated snow load.

Scaffold brace is easy to use

T-Brace LLC has introduced T-Brace, which reportedly increases span and rigidity of walk boards and scaffolding, including pump jacks, ladder jacks, sawhorses, site-built riggings and scaffolding systems.

T-Brace is made of powder-coated steel and reportedly can support up to 500 pounds. Boards inserted vertically and horizontally into T-Brace's openings create a T-beam that is said to allow for longer spans between supports. Fall protection is durable

Capital Safety Inc. has introduced its Protecta Rebel™ CT Self Retracting Lifeline, a 15-foot-long galvanized cable lifeline that weighs 6.4 pounds and reportedly increases worker comfort and reduces worker fatigue.

The cable lifeline features a swiveling anchorage loop and snap hook, which reportedly prevent twisting.

Additionally, Capital Safety has introduced its DBI-SALA EZ Stop® II Tie-back Lanyard with rebar hooks. The lanyard is available in single- or twin-leg tie-back models with a standard snap hook, aluminum rebar hook, flat steel rebar hook or carabiner ends. EZ Stop II Tie-back Lanyard uses a controlled tearing action when subjected to fall-arrest forces and reportedly limits arresting forces to 900 pounds or less.
