Metabo Corp. has made available its four-piece 18-volt cordless combination kit. The kit's lithium-ion-powered tools are said to be lighter and perform better than tools powered by nickel-cadmium batteries. The kit includes a BSZ 18 cordless drill/driver, KSAP 18 cordless 6 1/2-inch circular saw, ASE 18 cordless reciprocating saw and nickel-cadmium battery-powered flashlight.
The cordless drill/driver weighs 4.8 pounds and features 20 torque settings and a drill setting. The circular saw weighs 10.4 pounds and is said to provide more cuts per battery charge than any other in its class. The reciprocating saw weighs 7.7 pounds and can deliver up to 2,700 strokes per minute.

Makita USA Inc. has redesigned its line of 7 1/4-inch framing blades. The General Contractor Blade (D-24826), Framing Blade (A-94839) and Ultra-Coated Framing Blade (A-94530) feature an Advance Tooth Design, which is an M-shaped design with a two-pointed tip and 10-degree bevel face. The Advance Tooth Design is said to create fast, clean and long-lasting cuts.
Each blade is fully heat-hardened and has large expansion slots. The Ultra-Coated Framing Blade is said to reduce heat and pitch buildup. All blade designs are said to withstand harsh industrial applications.

Proportioners are fast
Graco Inc. has introduced two high-output hydraulic proportioners. The Reactor® H-40 for foam and Reactor H-XP3 for coatings are said to provide increased yield and performance as compared with high-output spraying.
The Reactor H-40 dispenses 45 pounds of foam per minute, and the Reactor H-XP3 dispenses 2.8 gallons of coating per minute. Both proportioners include a hybrid heater that is said to heat materials quickly and maintain temperature control. A digital user interface provides users with temperature and pressure control.
