Underlayment prevents leaks

Tarco has introduced its LeakBarrier PS200^MU Ice and Water Armor, a self-adhering, fiberglass-reinforced, modified bituminous underlayment that reportedly helps protect a building's deck and internal structure against leaks caused by ice and water damming and wind-driven rain.

LeakBarrier PS200 Ice and Water Armor reportedly can be used in high-temperature environments and features a skid-resistant, nonabrasive polyolefinic film. The underlayment reportedly is effective in valleys, ridges, coping joints, chimneys, vents, dormers, skylights and low-slope roof sections and can be used under shingles, slate and mechanically attached tiles, as well as metal roofing. It is said to be durable and feature high tensile and tear strengths.

Kit simplifies solar installation

S-5! has improved its S-5-PV Kit, a rail-free metal roof solar panel installation assembly that reportedly allows solar panels to be attached to metal panel roof systems quickly and easily without rooftop penetration.

Improvements to the S-5-PV Kit include an embossed S-5-Mounting Disk with a module guide that reportedly makes module placement easier and four under-disk hooks that are said to help with wire management. The kit's S-5-PV Grab now has broader ears, which reportedly makes installation easier and more precise. The mounting disk is universally directional, and the S-5-PV Stud is longer to accommodate solar panel frame thicknesses from 32 to 64 mm.

EternaBond has introduced its EternaPocket, a peel-and-stick pitch pocket that features a tab-locking system that reportedly allows for easy custom sizing. Harness is available in new color

Norguard Industries Inc. has introduced a new color option for its Go Pro-Girl™ line of women's fall-protection products. The products now are available in steel blue.

Go Pro-Girl harnesses are manufactured using polyester webbing that reportedly has a minimum breaking strength of 6,000 pounds; the lanyards reportedly have a minimum breaking strength of 9,800 pounds. Underlayment is eco-friendly

MonierLifetile® has introduced StrongSeal,™ an eco-friendly roof underlayment made from recycled tire crumb rubber.

StrongSeal is made of elastomeric alloy, an engineered rubber that is cryogenically ground and formed into an underlayment. The resulting product reportedly provides a high post-consumer recycled content and prevents the accumulation of tires in landfills. The underlayment is asphalt-free and contains no light oils. It reportedly is flexible and durable and resists wind tearing, rain absorption and sun degradation. StrongSeal is said to promote traction in wet and dry conditions and provide a watertight seal around fasteners. It reportedly is puncture- and tear-resistant.

Snow guard slices snow

SnoBlox-Snojax has introduced SnowBreaker, a polycarbonate snow guard that reportedly slices rooftop snow and ice into smaller pieces so they can safely slide off a roof.

MFM Building Products Corp. has introduced its Peel & Seal® PowerBond White 250, which is designed to tape seams on insulated aluminum panels and reportedly can be used as a flashing material for roof and gutter repair and window flashing, as well as for general-purpose waterproofing.

Peel & Seal PowerBond White 250 contains an asphalt adhesive with a broad temperature spectrum combined with an ultraviolet-stable outer film and reportedly forms a long-lasting protective barrier.
