Foam forms temporary seal
OMG Inc. has introduced its OlyBond NightShot, a low-rise polyurethane foam that is said to quickly form a temporary seal between new roof coverings and existing roof systems.
OlyBond NightShot is dispensed as a liquid from a portable applicator. It reportedly can be applied in a single band on an old roof surface at the intersection of a new roof system and will rise to form a seal. OlyBond NightShot is said to adhere to TPO, EPDM, PVC, built-up and modified bitumen roof systems.

Adhesive cures quickly
Dow Building Solutions has introduced its INSTASTIK™ Quik Set roofing adhesive, a single-component foam said to cure in three to seven minutes. It reportedly works well in temperatures from 33 F to 110 F.
INSTASTIK Quik Set is available in 23-pound canisters, which provide up to 90 square feet of coverage.

Global Accessories Inc. has introduced its Spidy Gear® Bed Web, which secures items on pickup truck beds and rooftop cargo racks. Ridge Tool Co. has introduced its RIDGID® industrial two-stage wet/dry vacuums, which are said to quickly clean up heavy debris and liquid. Model No. RV2400A features a 14-gallon polypropylene drum, and Model No. RV2600B features a 16-gallon polypropylene drum. The drums are said to be corrosion-resistant.

Anchor provides safety

Roof system is energy-efficient
Polyfoam Products Inc. has introduced its Ecoset™ Tile Roofing System for steep-slope roofing projects. The five-part system has an R-value of 10.68 and is said to be energy-efficient and eco-friendly.
The Ecoset Tile Roofing System consists of a waterproofing underlayment; layer of expanded polystyrene insulation adhered by ribbons of Polyfoam Products' two-component polyurethane free-rise adhesive; and tile adhered to the insulation by Polyfoam Products' adhesive. The system reportedly reduces peak heat flow through the roof deck during the summer by about 80 percent and reduces heat loss during the winter by about 70 percent.
Additionally, the Ecoset Tile Roofing System is said to increase service life, strength and durability.

Panel melts ice
Delta-Therm Corp. has introduced its Ice Melt Panel, which is used to prevent ice buildup, icicles and ice dams along a roof's edge. Shingles can be installed on top of the Ice Metal Panel with only the cable channel visible.
The Ice Metal Panel is made of aluminum and can be painted to match shingle color. Each Ice Metal Panel is 4 feet long and 8 inches wide and features a cable channel.

Ridge vent resists weather
Trimline® Building Products has introduced Trimline VariaVent, a ridge vent with attached aluminum weather blocking. The blocking reportedly allows the vent to form a weather-tight seal.
