Vent stacks assist with code compliance

OMG Roofing Products Inc. has announced exclusive distribution of Tubos Inc.'s extending vent stacks under the OMG Tubos name.

The patent-pending vent stacks reportedly can be used when reroofing a commercial building to reach the height needed for code compliance. The 28-inch-long vent stacks are compatible with 2-, 3- and 4-inch diameter plumbing vent stacks; can be used to extend two vent stacks; reportedly can be installed in less than five minutes; and are compatible with all commercial roof systems.

Glove line expanded

Ergodyne has expanded its ProFlex® Glove Line to include the ProFlex 921 Thermal Rubber-Dipped Doral Impact-Reducing (DIR) Glove.

The glove offers the same patent-pending dorsal protection, grip, flexibility and dexterity as the 920 Nitrile-Dipped Glove and uses thermal acrylic fleece and seamless knit construction for warmth. The gloves reportedly are ideal for cold weather, gripping and protection for the backs of hands.

Paver edging spikes reduce separation

Edgetite Products Inc. has introduced Edgetite Spikes, angled paver edging spikes designed to strengthen paver installation projects. The angled tip reportedly allows the paver edging spike to hold the edging tighter and reduces separation, reducing the need for future repairs.

Sealant available in new colors

Chemlink Inc. has announced its MetaLink™ Metal Roof Sealant, a silicone adhesive and sealant, is available in new packaging and colors. The sealant now is packaged as 12 10.1-ounce cartridges and is available in a wide range of colors to match decorative metal roofing and siding products.

MetaLink is formulated for metal roofs, gutters, downspouts and other metal architectural surfaces such as walls, windows, doors and fixtures. It is said to bond to aluminum, steel and copper, as well as Kynar 500® PVDF and Tedlar® PVF. The sealant reportedly does not contain any solvents or isocyanates and meets North American volatile organic compound standards.

Plural-component sprayer features smaller footprint

Graco Inc. has introduced the Reactor® 2, a plural-component sprayer with software and hardware advancements to help contractors apply materials accurately.

The sprayer features a 40 percent smaller footprint than a standard Graco Reactor for more room in the spray rig; electronics relocation for easier service; an advanced motor control module and software to reportedly produce a smoother, more consistent spray performance; and an advanced display module featuring data download, chemical recipe storage, drum level indicators and on-screen troubleshooting.

The Reactor 2 comes in electric stand-alone models and integrated systems. The Reactor 2 Elite model comes with an inlet pressure and temperature sensor; Xtreme-Wrap™ Scuff Guard on heated hoses; and Graco Insite, remote reporting technology that enables business owners to view real-time job-site data via a smartphone, tablet or computer.

Shingle line is expanded

Owens Corning Roofing and Asphalt LLC has introduced two products to its shingle line: Devonshire™ Shingles and DuraRidge™ Hip and Ridge Shingles.

The Devonshire Shingles are available in four colors and give the look of natural slate without the high cost or weight of real slate. The DuraRidge Hip and Ridge Shingles have patented SureNail® Technology with a layer of reinforcing fabric and a clearly defined nailing zone. The hip and ridge shingles are pre-cut, available in multiple colors and reportedly deliver a 130-mph wind warranty.
