Snow guard is versatile

M.M. Products Inc. has introduced its Glacier Snow Guard, which can be used with all roof systems. Made from ultraviolet-resistant polycarbonate, the snow guard offers a surface mounting area of 29 1/4 square inches and a ledge for shingle applications. Snow guards are featured in clear and custom colors.

Gutter offers new design

W.P. Hickman Co. has introduced a new design that is said to make its gutter system easy to install. The new system features an interior strap that hooks onto the gutter's face, eliminating exterior brackets; this is said to keep the gutter from pulling away from a building. Three shapes are available—box, chamfer and offset.

Ladder is multipurpose

Werner has released its Werner MT Series Multiladder that is able to switch into various positions and be used in a variety of work situations. The multipurpose ladder can convert into a twin stepladder, stairway stepladder, extension ladder and two scaffolding bases.

The ladder features spring-loaded "J" locks for height adjustment and push knobs to adjust angle positions. It also has an extra-wide flared bottom and double-riveted steps. The ladder series offers four models with stepladder height ranging from 3 feet to 11 feet. When used as an extension ladder, it can reach from 6 feet to 22 feet, and its scaffold heights range from 1 foot to 4 feet.

Blades offer long life

The Laser Fusion™ Diamond Blade line from Bosch Power Tools and Accessories features 62 blades that are said to offer long life spans and up to 30 percent faster cut times. Each blade is color-coded by application.

The line has 37 segmented blades—eight of which offer Laser Fusion manufacturing, a process that uses laser-generated heat to fuse synthetic diamonds and bonding material into the blade core. In addition, every fifth segment of the blades is raised for more aggressive cutting, and segmented gullets keep the cutting path clear.

The line also includes 11 turbo blades designed for smooth cutting and 14 continuous rim blades.

Repair tape protects roof

EternaBond has made available WebSeal™ Repair Tape that is said to be watertight and able to bond to virtually any surface. The 30-mil tape has a negatively charged woven backing and microsealant composition and is said to be useful for difficult areas and details. Flexible in temperatures as low as -70 F, the repair tape can be used to prepare all flat surfaces, as well as seal around curbs, pipes, angles and bolts.

Copper has patina coating

Revere Copper Products has made available PatriotGreen,™ a coated copper product that is mostly covered with a patina coating upon installation and appears to be mottled copper. Over time, as the uncoated areas form a natural patina and the coated areas fade, they are said to blend and create a natural patina like that of Revere Copper Products' Classic Copper. The product is available in sheets and coils.

Software features improvements

RoofPro® 4.0 from Digital Facilities Corp. is a roof asset management system with improved features such as a roof system maintenance program, high-quality report generators and an organized database system. It also offers new field-integration capabilities and improved program tools that will accept electronic inspections from Digital Facilities' 2005 program, RoofPro Inspector. Other RoofPro features include enhanced guides for users; PDF report generator; and new report writer.

Drain set offers easy installation

Atlas Roofing Corp. has introduced the Gemini™ Drain Set, which is said to be easy to install by cutting a drain hole and dropping the drain set in place. Used to assist water drainage on low-slope roof systems, the Gemini Drain Set is a one-piece polyisocyanurate drain sump with a minimum of 1/2-in-12 slope to the center of the drain. The product does not require assembly.

Directory lists green products

BuildingGreen Inc. has released Green Building Products, a product directory for homebuilders and homeowners that includes more than 1,400 products from the company's GreenSpec® database of green building products. With information about products such as recycled plastic roofing shingles, the directory includes photos and is organized by building component.
