Autofeed screw gun features extension
PAM Fastening Technology has released its PAM Fastening P13 Series autofeed screw guns. Model P13KDE features a dedicated extension, and Model P13KUE features a removable extension. The guns fasten 1- to 3-inch screws and feature ball-bearing systems to hold screws in place. The products also include settings for flush mounting and countersinking screws, a rotating ring that controls driving depths and E-Z Driver clutch that releases a screw at the desired height.
In addition, the company has made available its trim head screws that can be drilled with the PAM Fastening P13 Series autofeed screw guns. The composite deck screws reportedly do not require predrilling and are available in silver Kylan and stainless steel.
Cap sheet is for low-slope systems
Tarco Specialty Products Inc. has released its LeakBarrier™ EasyStick™ mineral-surfaced cap sheet for use on low-slope roof systems. The fiberglass-reinforced product is asphalt-coated and said to be ultraviolet-, weather- and damage-resistant. The self-adhering sheet also can be used as an underlayment in tile applications, as well as a flashing around skylights, roof edges, vents, ducts and other penetrations.
Duct sealant is water-resistant
Hardcast™ has released Foil-Grip™ 1402, a water-resistant duct sealant that can be used on sheet metal, duct board, flex duct, polyvinylchloride-coated duct and duct wrap vapor barriers. The product, which is made from aluminum substrate and butyl adhesive/sealant, reportedly seals on contact.
Spray guns apply sealants
Spraycol Ltd. has made available its Sealzit® spray guns that apply sealants to roof systems and other materials. The air-operated products, which weigh 5 1/4 pounds and produce 40-degree sprays, are available in two stylesBig V and SV. The aluminum-alloy guns include two emulsion dispensers and one fiberglass dispenser. Various adjustable tips also are available.
Asphalt shingles resemble slate
Owens Corning has made available its Berkshire™ Collection laminate asphalt shingles that resemble slate and are available in seven natural slate colors and five designer colors.
The shingles can be purchased as part of the Berkshire™ Roofing System, which includes the company's Berkshire™ Hip & Ridge Shingles, VentSure® Ventilation Products and Weatherlock® Waterproofing Underlayment. The shingles are said to be algae- and wind-resistant.
Products snap onto roof systems
Perimeter Systems has released its Press-Loc Series architectural copings and gravel stops that snap onto roof systems.
The Press-Loc Coping features concealed spring-loaded compression cleats that snap a coping into place.
The Press-Loc Gravel Stop, which can be used on EPDM, thermoplastic, modified bitumen and built-up roof systems, is installed by fastening a Press-Loc Secure Bar to a roof edge and snapping on the Press-Loc Fascia.
Material stops moisture migration
W.R. Meadows Inc. has made available PREMOULDED MEMBRANE® VAPOR SEAL with PLASMATIC® CORE to stop moisture migration in structural slabs and other materials. The product is a seven-ply, semi-flexible bituminous core board with a plasmatic core that is said to provide tensile strength and puncture resistance. The board reportedly reduces fungus, mildew and mold growth.
Trailers transport Equipment
JLG® Industries Inc. has released its TRIPLE-L™ lower, load and lift trailers for transporting equipment, supplies and materials. The trailers are available in flatbed, utility and enclosed styles and feature the Power Deck™ hydraulic system that is said to lower and raise a trailer's deck in less than 15 seconds.
The trailers, which have capacities ranging from 2,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds, include two lockable steel compartments, a tongue jack, tie-down rings and 12-volt power systems. Various accessories also are available.
Cap sheet is cold-applied
Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group has made available its self-adhered DynaLastic® 180 QuickLap™ modified bitumen cap sheet for multi-ply roof systems. The nonwoven polyester mat sheet has been saturated and coated with SBS rubber and asphalt to reportedly provide tensile strength and puncture and tear resistance, as well as accommodate roof system expansion and contraction. The product was designed to be used with the company's MBR® Quick Set adhesive, DuraBoard™ roof insulation and PermaPly® 28 base felt.
Pump applies restorative sealant
ERSystems Inc. has released its SpidHER sealant extruder gear pump designed to apply the company's HER 202 and HER 2000 restorative metal roof system sealants. The 110-pound pump features 110 volts of power, a 100-foot hose and 3-foot wand with control valve.
Newsletter promotes health
Oakstone Wellness Publishing has made available TOPHEALTH, a monthly newsletter designed to help employees stay healthy. The newsletter provides information about common medical problems, injury prevention and the importance of staying healthy. The newsletter, which is available in Spanish, can be distributed in paychecks, placed in break rooms or mailed to employees.
Software tracks attendance
Made E-Z Products Inc. has released its Attendance Monitor CD-ROM that tracks employees' time by fiscal year, calendar year and employee anniversary date.
The software allows employers to maintain a calendar for each employee, add notes, produce reports and update contact information. The CD-ROM also contains personnel forms, such as weekly and holiday schedules, vacation requests and others.
Joint connector replaces soldering
RHEINZINK America Inc. has released its RHEINZINK®-UDS-Connector, a corrugated metal strip that connects cornices and copings to a structure without soldering. The strips can be cut, flanged and rounded on sheet-metal folding machines. The products are available in 20- and 22-gauge thicknesses, 4- and 6-inch widths, and a standard 10-foot length.
