Warranty establishes contractor credibility

CMR Cos. has developed its Start-to-Finish Warranty, a third-party warranty intended for use by CMR-qualified remodeling contractors.

The warranty is said to establish the credibility and reliability of CMR-qualified contractors during meetings with potential clients. Clients who employ contractors with a Start-to-Finish Warranty reportedly will experience remodeling work that is completed in a satisfactory manner.

Shingles are solar-reflective

Malarkey Roofing Products has expanded its line of Ecoasis™ solar-reflective shingles to include greater color variety, solar-reflectance range and price-point options.

The line of steep-slope solar-reflective shingles offers three levels of products: Ecoasis Costa, Ecoasis Premium and Ecoasis Sol. Ecoasis Costa shingles are available in four colors. Ecoasis Premium and Ecoasis Sol shingles are said to meet ENERGY STAR^® requirements. Ecoasis Premium features Flexor™ polymer-modified asphalt technology to provide strong granule adhesion, flexibility and impact resistance.

Metal shingles resist high winds

McElroy Metal Inc. has introduced Milan Shingles, a new metal roofing option available for residential and commercial buildings.

The interlocking shingles are said to resist high winds and feature G90 galvanized steel to ensure fire resistance. A lightweight design means the shingles can be installed over most existing roof systems, eliminating the need for tear-off. The 29-gauge shingles come in eight PVDF colors and seven PVDF designer prints that simulate cedar shake and slate.

Roof curbs fit any roof slope

Thybar Corp. has introduced Retro-Curb, an insulated roof curb designed for unrestricted positioning on standing-seam roof systems.

Custom designed to accommodate any roof slope, the curb reportedly features a height of 10 inches, 1 1/2-inch fiberglass insulation, T-bar reinforcements in sizes greater than 36 inches and an oversized pre-punched base flange that can be cut out for perfect alignment with roof seams. The curb features mitered and fully welded corners, a formed in-water diverter and loose cell caps that match most standing-seam configurations. Optional roof curb features include 14-gauge aluminum construction and customized height.
