Miniature masterpieces

For the fourth year, NRCA conducted its Children's Art Contest as part of National Roofing Week, June 4-10. Co-sponsored by A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply, Aurora, Ill., and the International Roofing Expo,^® the contest was open to children in grades 1-8 whose relatives work for an NRCA member company. Children were asked to illustrate the importance of what roofs do, and 30 entries were submitted. Online public voting on NRCA's website generated more than 900 votes in May. The following three entries were winners in their categories.

Group 1 Collin Felker, Grade 2 Concord, N.C. Grandson of Robin Clark, senior office manager for Centimark Corp., Matthews, N.C.

Group 2 Jozey Donze, Grade 4 Olympia, Wash. Granddaughter of Tamara Lovas, project coordinator for Wayne's Roofing, Sumner, Wash.

Group 3 Marena Malone, Grade 6 Washington, Pa. Daughter of Rica Malone, national accounts service representative for Centimark Corp., Canonsburg, Pa.
