What is the most unusual roofing project of which you have been a part?
I wish I had a better story like a secret underwater lair in the Caribbean, but, unfortunately, none of my projects have been too out of the ordinary!
Why did you become involved in the roofing industry?
I grew up in Mahomet, Ill., where I volunteered at a local church. Several of the elders and deacons were contractors or teachers at a nearby construction school. I was interested in learning more, so I began helping other church members with projects, including building houses together and offering assistance to neighbors. At that point, I knew I wanted to operate my own contracting business. I earned a construction degree and took business classes to learn all the different strategies and philosophies that go into business leadership.

I helped the pastor of my church by repairing his home and discovered I am passionate about roofing work.
