The two-story, 52,444-square-foot Boulder Jewish Community Center in Colorado is a contemporary interpretation of sustainable construction.
Designed by RB+B Architects Inc., Fort Collins, Colo., to be 30% more energy efficient than standard construction, the facility includes a 74.4-kilowatt photovoltaic array installed on multiple rooftops by The Solar Revolution, Boulder, Colo., with S-5!®’s PVKIT® 2.0 solar rooftop solution to attach the arrays to a curved Firestone UNA-CLAD UC-3 double-lock, standing-seam metal roof system installed by Douglass Colony Group, Commerce, Colo.
The PV system reduces monthly operating costs, enabling the Boulder Jewish Community Center to invest more money into meaningful programs.
