In 2013, the Jim Beam® American Stillhouse and Distillery in Clermont, Ky., underwent a redesign uniting Jim Beam's family tradition, company history and commitment to sustainability.
The LEED® Gold-certified facility features 11,800 square feet of Metal Sales™ Manufacturing Corp.'s 22-gauge, 7/8-inch-thick corrugated steel wall panels in old zinc grey with custom-painted Jim Beam branding on the front façade. The visual aesthetics continue inside the building with 11,475 square feet of 22-gauge, 7/8-inch-thick corrugated, perforated interior wall panels acting as an interior liner. The stillhouse is topped with more than 7,500 square feet of 22-gauge, 16-inch-wide striated Vertical Seam roof panels in slate grey and matte black; TL-17 soffit panels in matte black provide the finishing touch.
The project recycled 25 percent of building materials and diverted more than 80 percent of construction materials from landfills. Other sustainable features include low-flow water fixtures that have reduced water usage by 50 percent, occupancy sensors and control panels with built-in timers to regulate lighting throughout the facility.
