This summer, Atlas® Roofing Corp., Atlanta, is supporting a group of Canadian-based wildlife biologists for an expedition to study whale and dolphin species in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
With the assistance of product donations from Atlas Roofing such as EnergyShield PRO® foam boards, the biologists built an environmentally sound tiny house that meets high thermal resistance and maximum load-capacity criteria.
The 670-mile expedition began in Montréal in early June and will be making stops in Québec City, Tadoussac, Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles to complete field work in September. The journey is expected to raise public awareness about living sustainably and ecologically while monitoring for whales and dolphins along the north coast of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
