EXCEPTIONAL® Metals launches new logo
EXCEPTIONAL Metals Inc., a division of Duro-Last, Saginaw, Mich., has launched a new logo and rebranding campaign.
The new logo honors the original logo but offers a more modern design. The logo is the first step in a rebranding effort that will include a new media campaign, redesigned website and updated literature.
GAF shingles ranked No. 1
GAF, Parsippany, N.J., has announced it was voted No. 1 in "Quality Ratings" and "Brand Used the Most" in the 2015 BUILDER Brand Use Study in the category of "Roofing: Asphalt/Fiberglass Shingles." The company has been voted No. 1 for highest quality for nine of the past 10 years.
Additionally, GAF has been awarded the Women's Choice Award for its roofing products from WomenCertified for the fourth consecutive year. In its annual survey, WomenCertified found nine out of 10 customers would highly recommend GAF to others.
WomenCertified surveyed more than 100 roofing contractors who verified GAF met or exceeded the expectations of their female customers. More than 96 percent of contractors polled said they would definitely recommend GAF to female customers, as well as their family and friends.
Malarkey Roofing Products announces joint venture
Malarkey Roofing Products, Portland, Ore., and GAP Roofing Inc., Pryor, Okla., have announced a multimillion-dollar reinvestment partnership to manufacture rolled roofing products in Pryor to serve the central U.S.
The joint venture, which is expected to launch at the end of the third quarter this year, will occupy a newly remodeled facility in Pryor. The facility will be used to implement manufacturing efficiencies, increase product diversification and provide geographic expansion.
New Tech Machinery offers referral incentives
New Tech Machinery, Denver, has announced a new referral incentive program available to all existing customers who refer a potential new customer to New Tech Machinery.
If a referral results in a sale, the customer will receive "New Tech bucks," which can be applied toward future purchases from New Tech Machinery.
Drexel Metals receives product approval
Drexel Metals, Louisville, Ky., has received Florida Product Approval for its ES-1 Compliant Metal Edge Roof Systems.
Drexel Metals contractors and fabricators are able to purchase prefabricated engineered cleats directly from the company and then purchase flat sheets to fabricate the cap/cover system to keep costs down without sacrificing performance quality. Depending on the system, the wind performance warranty will be 110 mph or 210 mph.

ABC Supply acquires distributor
ABC Supply Co. Inc., Beloit, Wis., has acquired the assets of Western Roofing Supply Co. Inc., a Minneapolis-based roofing supply distributor.
Western Roofing Supply will become the newest ABC Supply branch and the company's fifth branch in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. In addition to roofing materials, the branch now will offer windows, siding and gutters.
The industry online
The EPDM Roofing Association (ERA) has launched a new blog at www.epdmroofs.org/blog to provide up-to-date details about EPDM products and related roofing issues. The blog will offer more in-depth information regarding regulatory activities, roofing research, trends in the construction industry and industry events, among other topics. ERA also will be asking industry leaders to share their opinions by contributing to the blog.
Drexel Metals has launched the Drexel Metals App. The app allows those selecting a Drexel Metals roof to see what their properties will look like before investing in a roof system. The app is available in the Apple Store.

Sealoflex has named David Bell national sales manager.
Bayer MaterialScience LLC has named Bill Brengel general manager for the spray polyurethane foam insulation and roofing materials business.
MFM Building Products has appointed Jim Camferdam to represent the company in Arkansas and Michael Scott to represent the company in Mississippi.
Morin has named Jeff Held regional sales manager Rocky Mountains and Bob Mohr regional sales manager Northwest.
