The Metal Construction Association (MCA) has announced it is expanding awareness of its Roofing Certification Program to promote more participation and understanding of metal roofing products. Members of MCA, the Metal Roofing Alliance and National Coil Coating Association developed the program, and products certified in this program need to meet specific criteria for paint and base metal that are consistent with industry standards.
For a product to be accepted in the certification program, it not only must pass product testing and field performance but also must have third-party verification of quality-control procedures, as well as undergo an audit process.
